On a local level I would love to see a self contained machine for resurfacing roads a lane at a time, grinding up the potholed and cracked existing asphalt and reconstituting it with newer elastic materials and applying the new surface all in one step maybe even with liquid nitrogen cooling so the new surface is immediately drivable.
In addition but not transport, but having forest fire-fighting autonomous drones and more agricultural robots would be nice to see.
